New Appointments for Executive Team

The Corporate Finance Network has today announced several new members of its Executive Team, thereby strengthening its core specialist offering and contacts in many areas where SMEs struggle to find credible experts

Nick Simpson of Asset Finance Solutions is also an expert in his area & with the ever changing lending climate, The Corporate Finance Network now has his specialised knowledge & contacts to assist with trickier or more flexible funding solutions.

Mark McLaughlin has been appointed as the team member responsible for Technical Tax Support.  Besides writing many of the reference books in taxation subjects (Lexis Nexis, Tottel etc), he is also founder member of Taxation Web, and provides a knowledge of tax planning particuarly relevant and necessary in corporate finance transaction situations.

Steve Allen from VAT Solutions UK has been appointed in a new role of VAT Support.  As an expert on indirect taxes, and with 12 years' of experience with regional accountancy firms, 'Big 4' firms & HMRC, Steve & his colleague Andrew Needham are well placed to be able to advise on any VAT risks or issues.

Lyn Appleby is a Psychology/Stress expert, and has also worked within HR at one of the 'Big 4' firms of accountants.  The Corporate Finance Network recognise that "business" is not just "business" for many SME owner-managed businesses & tackling a purchase or sale of a business, or riding out a particularly stormy patch with cashflow, can affect families, personal situations and also therefore stress levels.

Further information about each new Executive Team member can be accessed from the home page of our website, together with links to their own websites.

Two new Support Team appointments have also been made this month.  Ian Denson, an expert in business research and deals data has joined as Business Development Researcher, and Ross McGregor, with previous roles in project management and multi-media will be responsible for Operations & Logistics, recognising the growing national network as more member firms are acquired.

Kirsty McGregor, Chairman of The Corporate Finance Network commented "I'm very happy that we have now acquired a multi-disciplinary team, who are all experts & at the top of the game in their respective fields, and completely understand the issues for SMEs, especially during corporate finance transactions.  This gives our member firms a fantastic resource to use when they require that additional level of skill in a particular area for their clients.  I'm sure this will allow us to go from strength to strength in our task of providing the highest quality advice possible for SMEs in the UK."
