Asset Finance Growth

 UK leasing recorded a 10% growth in finance deals below £20m in 2011, according to figures released by the FLA (Finance & Leasing Association).

The largest growth market was commercial vehicle finance which increased by 22% to £4.4bn. Business equipment finance was up by 15%, plant and machinery 12%, IT finance 8%, and car finance 4%.

ING exit the asset finance market

ING Lease Uk Limited issued a statement on Monday 29th October 2012, that they have decided to exit the Asset Finance Market in the UK.

This is very sad news for the UK asset finance industry as ING have been a cornerstone in the sector since many banks exited the market in 2008/09.
