New franchisees

It’s been a busy few months here at Asset Finance Solutions, we have been attracting new funders, delivering new training and just as importantly – hiring new franchisees!

Elaine Vickers – Compliance Co-ordinator

“Before joining AFS, I was employed within the Civil Service as a Local Service Compliance Team Leader. My role was to manage a team of compliance officers for Cumbria and Lancashire District whose primary function was to investigate and ensure all benefit claims were compliant.

I am really looking forward to a new challenge in the private sector.”

Charlotte Earnshaw – Sales Support Co-ordinator

“Before joining AFS I worked as a Sales and Finance Administrator for 3½ years at Solarlec PV Solutions Ltd, a renewable energy company. I was responsible for supporting the external sales team with their deals and processing all domestic and commercial finance applications from proposal stage through to pay out.

I am very excited I have been given this new opportunity at AFS and I am excited to develop my skills in the role.”

Lisa Winstanley – Marketing Officer

“Before joining AFS, I worked for nine years at WLCT a social enterprise with a commercial arm that ran the leisure facilities for Wigan, Cannock and Selby Councils.  My role was Commercial Marketing Officer as I had previously worked in the retail sector.  I was responsible for marketing 11 leisure centres, a stately manor house, theatre and B2B Grounds Maintenance teams.

As the company grew, so did my portfolio which in the last couple of years I also worked with management teams for new projects, including the delivery of new centres with the latest Technogym ‘cloud’ based equipment that sync’s with your smartphone.

I am really looking forward to getting my teeth into the marketing challenges at AFS and making a positive difference to the marketing campaigns.”

We have bolstered the Synergy team too, Chris Blackwell has joined us from NatWest Bank.  He is Business Development Manager for Synergy Commercial Finance.

“After finishing my Psychology degree in 2007, I joined the RBS graduate scheme (An obvious choice!). I was one of 40 selected from 3,500 applicants nationally to join the program so that was a real honour… until the recession took hold, they shelved the program and we were told that we had 12 weeks to find a job or be unemployed, marvellous! I then spent the next 5 years in sunny Dewsbury completing my banking studies and learning the trade so to speak. After working my way up the chain internally & looking after larger clients, then came the next restructuring. I took my chances and applied for voluntary redundancy.

Whilst I had a few offers on the table, the business that Synergy / AFS have built, and continue to build is on a great path and one that I wanted to be a part of. My new role gives me all the parts I love and is predominantly client / introducer facing which is ideal for me.

I’m looking forward to expanding my client base, helping them service their needs and being part of the Synergy success story for many years to come!”

As you can see, it’s been a busy few months and we’re delighted to have such talented people within the business.

Training Days

We ran training sessions at our Blackburn office during July with guest speaker Andy Milsom from BNP Paribas Leasing.  This was a full day for both Appointed Representatives and Office Staff, overall the training was well received with everyone getting something out of the day and the lunch provided was delicious.

Watch this space for dates of future training sessions, or if you would like to suggest training opportunities you think would be good to run, please feel free to get in touch?  Contact:
