One of the ways we keep our momentum in the fast lane is by organising regular Regional Meetings and this week has seen the final round of what has been a most successful series of start-of-the-year get-togethers. Each of these meetings, that were held around the country, enabled many of our franchisee Appointed Representatives (ARs) from different regions to come along, get together and listen to presentations by leading AFS and industry specialists discussing the very latest developments in the financial market, describing new initiatives and explaining how recent changes in legislation and economic trends are providing a wealth of exciting finance solutions opportunities.

Despite all that, perhaps the most important aspect of each of these meetings was the fact that they were attended by a number of representatives from our exclusive panel of funders.

It is already recognised that the AFS Funders Panel is the largest and most comprehensive in the asset finance solutions sector. This panel now numbers in excess of sixty lending sources (far more than just highly visible bank or conventional financial institutions). It represents many of the largest and most respected funding providers in the UK and from around the world. Importantly it also includes specialist and niche market funders who can guarantee that whatever type of funding our AR’s clients are looking for, they will be able to provide the most competitive and flexible solution to satisfy those needs.

Speaking to our franchisees after each meeting we were left in no doubt that listening to the different funders and then having the opportunity to meet them and talk to them one-to-one was the key to building the kind of personal working relationship that could prove to be a critical advantage when they were working to source the best and most competitive solutions for their clients.

Our three latest Regional Meetings were held at the offices of Hitachi Capital in Staines, at the Drayton Manor Hotel in Staffordshire and at Leeds Metropolitan University. Each meeting was well attended by our AR’s who had taken full advantage of the franchising opportunities we offer and also by an impressive number of funders, including: Paragon Bank Car Finance, Paragon Bank Business Finance, Close Bros Business Finance, Haydock Finance, Northridge Finance, Hitachi Capital, Everline, Ratesetter and Catfoss Finance.
